About Jennifer Herrera:
I am a passionate and trauma-informed educator, advocate, and community leader dedicated to fostering inclusive, affirming spaces where individuals feel safe to grow, heal, and thrive. With a background in human sexuality, mental health, and social justice, I bring both professional insight and lived experience to my work.
Currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Human Sexuality Studies at Widener University, I also hold a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in ASL/English Interpreting with a minor in Psychology from Siena Heights University. This academic foundation deepens my work at the intersections of education, behavioral health, and identity.
My work blends education, outreach, and creativity, allowing me to connect with diverse communities through honest conversations, strategic advocacy, and transformative learning experiences.
I believe that cultivating safety, joy, and access is not only possible—it’s necessary. Whether I’m facilitating workshops, creating digital content, or collaborating on community initiatives, I lead with integrity, warmth, and a fierce commitment to justice.
