About Ivan Martinez:
Stepping fresh out of California State University with a Bachelor's in Computer Science, my journey at The Nunes Company as an IT Technician involves spearheading hardware repairs and EDI transaction troubleshooting, ensuring seamless technological operations. Our team prioritizes maintaining robust software infrastructures, which reflects my commitment to delivering top-tier technical support and contributing to our company's dynamic IT landscape. I have completed multiple certifications in UX design, equitable product design, and interaction design for the web from LinkedIn.
Experience
In the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to work as an Information Technology Intern at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., one of the world's leading beauty companies. I was tasked with designing Estee Lauder's in-house employee onboarding and main portal using React and Node.js, to be utilized by over 65,000 employees. I utilized agile work practices to complete the product development process and interview part-time and full-time employees. I also contributed to Read the Docs, an open source project that builds and hosts the websites for the documentation for over 80,000 projects and 100,000 users, as part of the CTI-CodeDay SWE Internship program. I set up Vale, a linter bot and created a style guide to look over Read the Doc's documentation for any errors in spelling and branding. Through these experiences, I have developed my skills in Django, Python, Git, React, and Node.js, as well as my ability to work collaboratively, creatively, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. I am passionate about creating accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly products that can make a positive impact on people's lives. I am eager to learn from and contribute to a diverse and innovative team that shares the same vision and values.
Education
I recently graduated from CSU: Monterey Bay with a bachelor's in Computer Science. The computer science concentration I received with my degree was in Software Engineering.
