About Me:

I am a dedicated and passionate cybersecurity student currently pursuing my degree in [A.S in cybersecurity] at [Miami Dade College]. With a strong foundation in computer science and information security, I am eager to apply my skills to help protect and defend against evolving cyber threats.

In addition to my academic background, I have gained practical experience through 11 months working with Geek Squad, where I provided tech support and troubleshooting services to a wide range of clients. This role helped me refine my technical troubleshooting abilities, expand my knowledge of network configurations, and develop a deeper understanding of cybersecurity concepts, especially related to data protection and system security.

My experience has equipped me with hands-on knowledge in areas such as:

• Technical support for both individuals and small businesses

• Technical Advice: Provide expert advice to customers about various tech products, services, and solutions, helping them choose the best options based on their needs.
• Problem Diagnosis: Help customers diagnose technical issues with their devices (computers, mobile phones, home appliances, etc.), guiding them through troubleshooting steps or suggesting solutions.
• Remote Support: Offer phone or remote support to customers experiencing technical issues with devices or systems. This can include software, hardware, networking, or setup problems.
• Product Recommendations: Recommend products or services based on customer needs, such as software, accessories, or service plans. Geek Squad Consultant Agents often help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Service Plans: Encourage customers to purchase service plans (such as Geek Squad Protection or extended warranties) for their devices.
• Upselling: Offer additional services that may enhance a customer's experience, such as premium tech support or upgrades.

My relevant experience was in A.S in Cybersecurity from Miami Dade. What I have learned is the following: Network Security: Learned how to secure and monitor networks using firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other network security tools. Gained practical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols. Cybersecurity Tools: Developed proficiency in using industry-standard cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus, Metasploit, and Burp Suite to detect vulnerabilities, conduct penetration testing, and perform network analysis.Incident Response & Forensics: Gained insight into incident response processes, from detecting and analyzing security breaches to recovering from attacks. Studied basic digital forensics to investigate cybercrimes and collect evidence.
