Brandon Bertot

I am a hard-working individual. I love finding ways to stay busy in my day-to-day life, whether it is working, studying, or simply doing things around the house. I am an adaptable individual, which allows me to excel in high-stress situations and remain calm. I grew up playing competitive sports, which has also taught me to be very sociable, work in a team, and be easily coachable. 

 I have been employed at FIU's Simulation Teaching and Research (STAR) Center since the summer of 2023. I assist professors in creating a realistic teaching environment for nursing students by supporting lab, simulation, and lecture activities. My responsibilities include setting up medical equipment, preparing simulation scenarios, and ensuring students experience hospital-like conditions. I was recognized as Employee of the Month in July 2024 for my hard work and dedication

I am currently enrolled in the FIU School of Nursing. I currently have a 3.9 GPA while attending nursing school and just recently made the dean's list. I am also on the board of the Pre-nursing Association, which gives students guidance on nursing school and what they need to do.
