Brandon Spalding

I've been working the last 7 years as both a professional video editor. I love working on projects that can be used to ignite passion and inspire others. Personally I'm a huge nerd, so gaming, comics, and movies were what got me into film editing in the first place. My style of expression in editing and making any visual edit is to deliver the message while making it pop. The high visual passion and energy I would view as a child in edits and visuals greatly influences how I create now. I strive on impact, and creativity in a project and love making visions come to life through film and media. Nothing will catch your heart and hype like a genuinely well paced edited video, film can be captured and displayed. Editing is where that life and vision comes into play where in those short moments, those frames can change a bystander into a fan, no matter the content.

The last four years I have been working as a film editor for Temple University where I would help produce informatic videos for university professors, local organizations, and government programs. This would be done using a complete studio setup, cameras, lighting, sound room/equipment, and bluescreen to produce high end product. That would then be handled in post using Adobe Creative suite and like programs when need be. I have a personal business as well where I do provide editing and graphics work that has been in place since I was a freshman in college. I was also an editing intern and then temp for Ralph Smyth Studios during my time in Austin, Texas. There I helped edit and polish footage that would be used for film festivals the studio participated in.

My degree was in Computer Science but being engrossed in tech and my hobbies and life passion surrounding film I utilized the free time to take supplemental studies on film production and furthering my craft as an editor. Eventually the rest of my education and work flow developed in my time under Ralph Smyth and their team.
