Athiya Thasneem

I am Athiya Thasneem Hajji Mohamed, a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in healthcare operations, infection prevention, and community health. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from George Mason University  I am passionate about advancing public health initiatives and contributing to research that improves health equity and outcomes.

I bring over three years of professional experience in healthcare operations, infection prevention, and administrative support. As an Infection Prevention Specialist Intern at George Washington University Hospital, I developed and implemented infection control policies, conducted data analysis on infection trends, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, my roles as a Unit Secretary and Certified Nursing Assistant have honed my skills in healthcare compliance, patient care, and record management.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Community Health at George Mason University, with an anticipated graduation in December 2024. My education, combined with certifications in Human Research and Health Information Management, equips me with a strong foundation in public health, data analysis, and healthcare technologies.
