Aiden Lo

I am a rising junior at San Dieguito HS Academy. I am passionate about robotics and volunteer work, and regularly spend my free time in my school's metal shop.

On my robotics team, FIRST Robotics Competition team 2102 Paradox, I work on the 3D design of the robot using Onshape, manufacturing, electrical systems, and am the president of Outreach. I led the design of the robot's chassis and drivetrain in the 2023 season, and will again in this upcoming season. I am capable of using manual and CNC mills, lathes, various saws, hand tools, and more. I now teach other students how to use CAD software, and have experience with both Onshape and Solidworks.

In 2018 I founded my own nonprofit, Picky Eats, with the goals of alleviating food insecurity and providing opportunities that people otherwise would not have had. Udner my guidance, Picky Eats' volunteers have earned multiple Presidential Volunteer Service Awards, raised over $7500, and provided countless meals to people in San Diego.

In the future I am hoping to become a mechanical or electrical engineer using my CAD skills and experience within the metal shop.
