The RTG "Ambivalent Enmity" is seeking a journalist who specializes in political and international conflicts and/or wars for a Mercator Fellowship for a Journalist in Residence (f/m/d).
This fellowship will take place in Autumn/Winter 2024 and will last for six weeks to three months.Your main responsibilities will include working on your own project, such as a book or essay, and sharing your experience with PhD students in a one-day workshop on "Writing on conflicts and enmity." You will also be expected to hold an internal colloquium on your topic or on the intersection between journalism and research, as well as participate in all academic events of the RTG.
To be considered for this fellowship, you must have many years of experience as a journalist in local or national media, with a focus on political and international conflicts and/or wars.
You should also have a strong desire to immerse yourself in your chosen project and engage in dialogue with the researchers at the RTG.
