The city of Cottbus/Chóśebuz is seeking a Project Assistant for the Department of Education and Integration as part of the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Energy's funding program "Welcome to Brandenburg (WIB) - A Counseling Service for People with Migration Backgrounds".

This position is subject to funding approval and is available from January 1, 2023 until December 31, 2025.

The weekly working hours for this position are full-time.

What will be your responsibilities?

I. Counseling, support and assistance for international students

  • Digital and analog communication with the target group
  • Individual, specific and needsbased counseling
  • Support for recognition and qualification measures
  • Assistance with perspective development and overcoming complex problems with the goal of labor market integration
  • Individual and referral counseling
  • Counseling on residence law questions
II. Organization of events, information formats, workshops, German courses, etc.

  • Needs analysis
  • Appropriate planning and design of events, workshops, etc.
  • Search and acquisition of lecturers
III. Establishment of internship, work-study or observation formats

  • Communication and cooperation with authorities, institutions, carriers and companies
  • Development of database formats
IV. Public relations and creation of semester programs and information materials

  • Creation of a sixmonth semester plan and corresponding promotion and publication
  • Creation of analog and digital flyers (multilingual)
