Description
Reporting to the Advising Center Director, the role involves supporting the Director and Senior Advisors with record maintenance, data processing, and operational tasks.
In addition to these responsibilities, the position includes engaging with students to promote enrollment, academic achievement, and timely graduation based on guidance from senior advisors.
The primary focus is on assisting incoming and first-year students to enhance their university experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in administrative procedures
- Manage reports and survey data, validate information, update records, and inform advising staff of any modifications. Oversee advising holds to facilitate timely registration for students. Review materials produced by advising staff.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Essential skills include meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
Effective communication with a diverse campus community is crucial. Adherence to university policies and procedures, ensuring a positive student experience, and contributing to the university's commitment to excellence are key requirements.
Education and Experience
A minimum of one year of administrative support experience is necessary.
A bachelor's degree is desirable.

Compensation
CSU Classification Salary Range:
The salary range for this role is $1,752 - $2,151 per month.
Benefits
Comprehensive benefits include health, vision, and dental coverage through CalPERS, tuition fee waiver, generous leave policies, and 14 annual paid holidays.
Time Base
Part-time role at 0.5 time-base.
Appointment Duration
This is a one-year temporary assignment without permanent status. Temporary roles may conclude before the specified end date.
