The DKMS Donor Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of DKMS. The Donor Center's primary tasks include donor registration, donor support, and donor matching.

The main task of the Workup department is coordinating bone marrow and peripheral stem cell donations. It serves as the interface between donors, donation clinics in Germany, and transplant clinics worldwide, ensuring that all parties are fully informed. This ensures a smooth and fast donation process. The focus is on providing personal support to stem cell donors over the phone who have been specifically requested for a patient.
