Description

Well established commercial flooring contractor is looking to add an Estimator to its team.
The Flooring Estimator is responsible for estimating the cost of flooring and other related construction scopes. This includes gathering and analyzing data, developing budgets, and preparing reports. The Estimator must have a strong understanding of construction plans, materials, methods, and labor costs.

They must also be able to build relationships with clients, work independently and be part of a strong internal team.

Responsibilities:

Proficient in Measure Square & Job Tracker estimating software.
Analyze project plans and specs to estimate the cost of flooring and other construction scopes.
Work to build relationships with contractors, vendors and coworkers.
Stay up to date on construction materials, methods, and labor costs.
Must have experience working on private and public works projects that utilize union, prevailing wage and or market rate wages.
Must have experience with hard bids and negotiated bids.
Works independently and as part of a Sales, Estimating and Operations Team.
Once project is won, must be able to collect, prepare and communicate all relevant project information to the operations team.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Estimator will see the project through its entire life stage.
