Cedar Point, KS is seeking a Head of Medical Services (f/m/d) to join our team. Our goal is to provide the highest safety, health, environmental, and compliance standards for cruising. We are dedicated to effective communication and efficient processes between ship and shore.Our company, Carnival Maritime, has established a new center of excellence with the specific mandate of achieving net carbon-neutral ship operations by 2050.
We are looking for a candidate who can support our decarbonization strategy and its associated technological challenges.As the Head of Medical Services, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Support communication with ship medical staff and other relevant parties
- Assist in implementing new projects on shore and on board ships
- Advise Marine HR on recruitment, rotation plans, and evaluations of medical staff on the fleet
- Act as an advisor to the Public Health department, FOC, legal, and communication for the fleet
- Participate in organizing emergency disembarkations at sea and fulfill duties assigned for HOC
- Support the development of medical procedures and processes
- Conduct medicalrelated ship visits on all ships
- University degree in medicine with at least 8 years of professional experience
- Experience in maritime medicine and emergency/family medicine is preferred
- Previous experience as a ship's doctor is highly valued
- Leadership experience
- Proficiency in IT skills
- Ability to independently investigate and resolve problems
