We are currently seeking a
Junior Editor (m/f/d) Part-time (75%) for our location in Freiburg to join our editorial team at "Entdeckungskiste" at the earliest possible date.


Your tasks with us:


  • You will be involved in the creation of the magazine "Entdeckungskiste": from conception to organization and editing, to graphics and proofreading or creating printready files
  • You will be responsible for your own sections in the magazine and special editions
  • You will write your own (short) texts and revise author contributions to suit the target audience
  • You will research suitable authors and kindergartens, as well as news for and from the target audience
  • You will communicate with authors and external service providers such as graphic agencies, illustrators, and photographers
  • You will research photos in image databases for the magazine and various special editions and commission photographers
  • You will manage our editorial inbox

What we expect from you:


  • You have successfully completed a degree in early childhood education, social pedagogy, educational sciences, or German studies
  • Ideally, you have completed a publishing traineeship or have some journalistic work experience
  • You have a strong interest in topics related to (early)
