The Problems You'll Solve
The National Service Operations Coordinator will support NYC Service's four national service
(AmeriCorps) programs, reporting to the National Service Operations Director, with several project
elements reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Service Officer, National Service & Fiscal
Operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


_Cross-Program Operations _:


  • Lead and monitor the onboarding process for 150+ incoming AmeriCorps members.
  • Develop and update internal procedures for collecting and tracking member eligibility
documents.

  • Lead member enrollment in administrative systems (e.g., payroll, healthcare, and timesheet
tracking) and support national service staff in addressing member inquiries regarding these
systems.

  • Support and track specific elements of the AmeriCorps compliance process, including quarterly
reimbursement reports and site monitoring.

  • Regularly review and make suggested updates to departmental operations manual and other
program guides.

  • Track program spending and work with National Service Operations Director to prepare and
present monthly spending reports.

_Data & Reporting _

  • Develop and coordinate the monthly collection, tracking, and reporting of metrics from
organizational partners and members.

  • Update and administer member and host site pre
- and post-service survey distributions.

  • Compile and analyze data from surveys, monthly reports, and evaluations throughout the

- service year.
  • Prepare program data for presentation to internal and external stakeholders, including visual
- tools and written reports.
  • Support National Service Operations Director in preparing and submitting funder letters of
- interest, progress reports, and grant reports.
  • Support migration of relevant program data from existing spreadsheets into Salesforce CRM

- database.
  • Develop, implement, and train staff on processes to maintain and update Salesforce data,
ensuring information is accurate and complete.


_Advance NYC Service Mission, Values, and Goals _

  • Represent NYC Service at select events.
  • Be available on select weekends and on select evenings for projects.
  • Provide project support with other service activities and programs, as needed, including

- emergency volunteer response.
  • Support City initiatives as needed, including but not limited to possible emergency response
and recovery.


About You:


  • Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma + 3 years relevant experience (Minimum)
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Commitment to service year programs and volunteerism (AmeriCorps alumni a plus)
  • Capable of managing against goals and working under tight deadlines
  • Written and oral communication
  • Data analysis and visualization skills
  • Relationship management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as an influential team member
  • Ability to manage many project simultaneously
  • Ability to work beyond traditional working hours and schedules
  • Creativity and a sense of humor are most welcome

Salary
The City of New York Office of the Mayor's compensation package includes a market competitive
salary, equity for all full-time roles and exceptional benefits. Our cash compensation range for this role
is
$64,000.
