    Job Description

If you thrive in innovative environments and value collaboration, consider joining our team as a Senior MAC Platform Software Engineer.

    • Design, implement, and integrate embedded real-time software for RTOS APIs and hardware drivers.
    • Bring up Real-Time OS on new hardware platforms.
    • Develop and integrate RTOS/Linux Inter-processor Communication between remote processors.
    • Port TWT MAC software to new platforms and RTOSes.
    • Design, develop, and maintain Platform Abstraction and Operating System Abstraction libraries.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and performance analysis of real-time components.
    • Document design alternatives following Engineering Department processes.
    • Build trust-based relationships with team members.

    Education and work experience requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
    • Minimum five years of industry experience in embedded development with real-time operating systems.

    Key qualifications:

    • Understanding of real-time operating systems, inter-processor communication, and memory management.
    • Proficient in C++ programming and object-oriented design.
    • Experience with debugging hardware-software integration.
    • Familiarity with distributed version control (e.g. git) and embedded development tools.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
    • Initiative, proactive work ethic, and decision-making skills.
    • Advocate for change and innovation.

    Physical demands:

    • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use office equipment, lift weight, and have specific vision abilities.

    Additional requirement:

    • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

    TrellisWare Technologies offers competitive compensation and considers market rates and individual qualifications. The pay range for this role is $115-$165k annually, based in San Diego, CA.
