For the
Software Solutions department, we are currently looking for a
PhD candidate (m/f/d)
in Digital Health & Machine Intelligence at our location in
Freiburg im Breisgau.


Your tasks:


  • Research and development in modeling physiology and behavior based on wearable sensor data, as well as further development of methods based on artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for interpreting and simulating behavior in everyday situations, particularly for digital twins
  • Development of digital health applications and open interfaces
  • Conducting validation studies, including in clinical settings with patients
  • Scientific publication of research results in the fields of biomedical engineering, computer science, and medicine
  • Writing a dissertation (Dr. rer. nat/Dr. Ing.) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Oliver Amft
  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams

Your profile:


  • University degree (diploma/master) in computer science or biomedical inform
