    The Sr.

    Manager, Quality Assurance is a highly collaborative position that will support the development, training and implementation of quality processes and metrics to promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization and our global external vendors.

    The Sr.

    Manager, Quality Assurance plays a crucial role in upholding the Sol de Janeiro's reputation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence by ensuring our company and product requirements are clearly defined and upheld.

    This position will work in close partnership with the Quality Control department.

    The position is intended for a motivated professional with an understanding of cosmetics cGMP, auditing, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation who can shine with little supervision.

    They will support vendor audits, consumer complaints analysis, technical readiness and continuous improvement efforts.


    Overall responsibilities:
    Lead the Quality Assurance department at Sol de Janeiro.
    Support Product Development teams to improve and maintain product specifications and standards.
    Ensure technical readiness and successful production handover for new launches.
    Strengthen and lead the new vendor onboarding program.
    Perform quality audits of suppliers, contract manufacturers, and distribution centers.
    Assist with the management of quality issues resulting from product design.
    Manage quality continuous improvement initiatives cross-functionally.
    Work with partner functions to strengthen change management.
    Oversee document control for critical quality procedures.
    Collaborate to develop, improve, and deploy Quality processes and procedures.
    Create work instructions or training materials as needed to ensure processes are clear and consistent.
    Collaborate with Regulatory and Product teams to ensure products and procedures uphold the most current compliance and cGMP requirements.
    Support line trials for new product initiatives to ensure technical risk mitigation.
    Collect and analyze consumer complaints to identify trends and areas of improvement.
    Act as Quality representative for system enhancement projects.
    Perform all other duties as required.

    Job Requirements QualificationsBachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant combination of education and work experience.5+ years of experience in a quality role within the Cosmetics Industry or similar.

    Knowledge of quality systems and cosmetics cGMP (ISO 9001, ISO 22716, etc.)Experience performing Quality audits.
    Experience with a variety of Quality competencies such as AQL, root cause analysis, and CAPA management.
    Advanced Excel skills required.
    Attention to detail - must analyze many pieces of data to understand, digest and asses risk.
    Solid written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively.
    The ability to operate effectively and efficiently on an independent level.
    NetSuite experience is preferred.
    Must be able to work from / visit our NYC Office 2-3 times per month.

    Up to 25% domestic travel #LI-HybridSalary Range$110,000-$135,000 USDIn addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
