- Ensures schools comply with guidance associated with the Elementary and Secondary Elementary Act (ESEA)/Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
- Supports school leaders in implementing research-based family and community engagement strategies.
- Identifies resources and training opportunities to address the unique needs of diverse school communities.
- Educates and trains schools on FCE policies, procedures, and processes.
- Assists schools with the development and sustainability of School Family Councils and organized parent groups to ensure that parent and community members have an active role in school-based decision-making processes

- Specific experience working with schools, community-based, or family-supporting organizations.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with volunteer and community partners.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the capacity to deliver effective public presentations.

The Family Engagement Administrator leads the design and implementation of professional development opportunities for the district's Family University program, including the management of the online learning platform.
The Family University program is a comprehensive and coordinated program of training, peer-to-peer sessions, technical assistance and other supports to build the capacity of families and school teams in facilitating effective family and community engagement strategies linked to learning in support of student academic outcomes.
The Family Engagement Administrator serves as a pivotal link between the district, families, and the community, embodying the district's mission, vision, and strategic priorities of the CEO, Board of School Commissioners, and the Engagement Office.
This role plays a crucial part in fostering positive relationships, creating effective partnerships, and promoting student achievement and school improvement.
Collaborating with schools, parent groups, and community partners, the Family Engagement Administrator will design and implement impactful family and community engagement learning opportunities at both school and district levels.
