VP of Sales, Commercials and Events

Job Summary:


Quixote by Sunset Studios is one of the largest companies in physical TV and Film production, with the largest fleet of trailers in the Los Angeles market in addition to its vast portfolio of sound stages, light & grip, trucks, generators, production supplies, and more.

In addition to LA and London, our operations for production services include New York, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Albuquerque.


The VP of Sales, Commercials and Events is a critically important member of the Sales team that leads day-to-day sales operations and executes the sales strategy of the company's Commercial and Events business units - Short Form Soundstages, Commercial Vehicles (i.e., motorhomes), and Events Trailers.

They are responsible for overseeing the efforts of three discrete sales teams, develop and maintain relationships with executives/commercial agencies/production house and concert/festival organizers, and provide strategic analysis of the market and trends in their industries.

SVP, Sales & Business Development.


What You'll Do
Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Ideate and pursue potential partnerships with commercial agencies, production houses, and concert and festival organizers.
  • Understand the company's competitive advantages on an BUbyBU level to inform sales tactics.
  • Continually monitor competitive landscape for opportunities and threats.
  • Partner with SVP, Sales & Business Development in pursuit of strategic relationships with largest clients.
  • Partner with colleagues to explore growth opportunities in nonLA markets.
Business Development

  • Manage and maintain key relationships with clients' executive teams.
  • Partner with and support your team as they build and maintain relationships with clients' production teams.
  • Represent the Company at relevant industry events.
Sales Ops & Team Management

  • Manage three unique sales teams
  • Short Form Soundstages, Commercial Vehicles, and Events trailers whose objective is to identify and close on sales opportunities.
  • Continually drive teams to use creative problem solving to identify and solve the needs of potential clients.
  • Lead negotiations for prices and terms for major clients and review prices and terms for deals handled by sales staff.
  • Propose incentive programs and growth opportunities to motivate team members.
  • Partner with the marketing team on initiative to promote your businesses and drive sales.
  • Provide the team with professional development advice, guidance, and direction.
  • Attract and recruit new members as needed.
Business Intelligence and Analysis

  • Partner with inhouse strategy and business intelligence resource to track key market metrics (e.g., market share).
  • Monitor and report sales performance, competitor initiatives, and market/client trends.
  • Leverage industry relationships to gather business intelligence.
  • Support Finance team as they build budgets and forecasts.
  • Be knowledgeable of all clients that directly impact financial results and forecasts.
  • Complete ad hoc analyses as requested by SVP, Sales & Business Development.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience in the advertising or live events industries.
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset while also being creative and fastmoving.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships within the advertising or live events industries.
  • Ability to collaborate/negotiate with individuals at all levels, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team.
  • Active problemsolver with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
  • A positive, entrepreneurial mindset always searching for solutions rather than identifying problems.
  • Proactive, selfmotivated, efficient, detailoriented, and organized.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fastpaced environment.
  • Polished professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is
$220, $250,000.00 annually.


The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment.

In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
