Description
Are you a High School Junior or Senior and are interested in learning new skills to help jump start your career after graduation? A Youth Apprenticeship is a great opportunity to gain new skills and get paid while still in school

Under the direct supervision of a mentor, you will support the Engineering department by performing the following duties.

  • Reads and understands American and European blue prints, geometric tolerances, and weld symbols
  • Creates 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Assists in the design and production of machining and welding fixtures
  • Creates manufacturing routings and specifications in ERP system
  • Assists with researching the manufacturing process, identifying engineering issues, designing and building prototypes, and testing prototypes
  • Assists the Engineering team with projects

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Junior or Senior enrolled in a related Tech Ed class.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
