Lead the design and implementation of Grainger'sStrategic Supplier Growth Program (SSGP)
to improve relevance and effectiveness of the program, in close coordination with Marketing, Sales, and Supplier Management.
Drive coordinated strategy to improve supplier funding levels (>$35M today) and incremental growth for Grainger in tactics deployed
Lead coordination with top-tier suppliers and key cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Supplier Management, Sales Effectiveness, Finance)
You Will:
Lead the design and implementation of Grainger's
Strategic Supplier Growth Program (SSGP)
to improve relevance and effectiveness of the program, in close coordination with Sales, Marketing and Supplier Management.
Drive coordinated strategy to improve supplier funding levels (>$35M today) and incremental growth and effectiveness for Grainger in tactics deployed
Represent marketing to top-tier suppliers, bringing in Sr. Leadership and experts as needed.
Develop product marketing strategy and campaigns, aligning Supplier's desires with Grainger's internal strategies and capabilities.
Drive improvements to the operational effectiveness of the team. Develop a system of KPIs to show the breadth, throughput and effectiveness of the work. Surface areas of opportunity and implement action plans to drive improvements.
Develop a robust system of metrics to measure the effectiveness of the tactics deployed across the program.
Work with Finance and other internal stakeholders to define key performance indicators and mechanisms to measure incremental revenue and other benefits attributed to marketing and sales enablement tactics.
Lead a high performing team to:Lead marketing coordination with Supplier Management and external supplier resources. Evolve suite of marketing tactics as capabilities and strategic priorities change.
Lead Sales Enablement tactics in close coordination with Events team. Current tactics include in-market days, sales leadership access, and other targeted events. Evolve suite of marketing tactics based on ROI and shifting priorities
"Sell" SSGP program to top tier suppliers, in partnership with Supplier Management and Events.
Provide reporting on solicitation status for upcoming planning cycles. Enable cross-functional partners to understand progress towards goal and potential needs to pivot.
Coordinate day-to-day activities with suppliers
Detailed tracking of marketing/sales activities and supplier payments.
You Have:
7+ years' experience in marketing, supplier management, or relevant B2B experience
Experience leading high-performance teams
High learning agility (requires knowledge of multiple customer industry/segments).
Comfort engaging with suppliers
Proven track record of driving for results and executing with excellence
Demonstrated passion and customer centric decision-making skills.
Strong cross-functional leader with interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels in a collaborative manner.
Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules and budgets.
Strong organizational skills; requires planning and event competencies
Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
Strong financial acumen. An ability to quantify the value generated by the team
