We are the AWO Kreisverband Berlin-Mitte e. V. and operate ten daycare centers in addition to many other social institutions.

We are currently looking for recognized career changers (m/f/d) to strengthen our following daycare center teams:

  • Kita Schmetterling in 10551 Berlin-Tiergarten
  • with a focus on movement or music
  • Kita Am Spreebogen in 10559 Berlin-AltMoabit with a focus on movement
  • Kita Maulwurf in 10785 Berlin-Tiergarten as a substitute with a weekly working time of 30.0 to 39.0 hours (parttime/fulltime) in mixedage groups.

Job description:
We are looking for people who see a daycare center as a place for and by children.

Our children need adults who meet them at eye level, defend their rights, make democracy tangible, allow them to be self-effective and creative, perceive them and show them mindfulness.

They need adults who advocate for them, listen to them, let them participate and make decisions, and give them the space and time they need for their individual well-being and healthy development.


This requires an open and mindful attitude, engagement with current scientific findings in the pedagogical and psychological fields, constant reflection on one's own pedagogical actions, and intensive professional communication within the team.
