Mechanical Assembler

28420 Witherspoon Pkwy, Valencia, CA, 91355

1st shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Mondays to Fridays

Pay rate - $19-22/hr.

Position Summary:


  • A production associate with mechanical assembly experience in a fastpaced, midvolume, manual production, manufacturing environment. Able to work from procedures, visual samples, blueprints, and bills of materials (BOM). Able to build and test product with help from Lead Assemblers. Able and willing to be cross trained in different areas in production. Dependable in areas of attendance, quality and work pace.

Responsibilities:


  • Build motor assemblies and subassemblies using verbal instructions, procedures, samples, blueprints, and BOMs.
  • Operate machinery used for manufacturing, winding and assembling fractional DC motors and armatures.
  • Lift and move 8pound assemblies during 90minute intervals.
  • Use air driven tools, hand tools, presses, solder stations, and measuring instruments.
  • Learn the correct method of operation and procedure for assembly being produced.
  • Visually inspect parts, castings, and subassemblies for accuracy or flaws prior to performing operation(s).
  • Repair and replace assemblies and parts in motors.
  • Stand and walk; use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel, handle, feel, talk and hear.
  • Maintain standard production rates and quality standards.
  • Perform light material handling work when required
  • Rotate positions and work in different work cells.
  • Dependable in areas of attendance, quality and work pace.
  • Familiar with plant safety concepts and able to identify potential safety concerns
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • 23 years in a fastpaced, highvolume, electromechanical production assembly environment.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work independently/in a group setting/with direct supervision.
  • Skilled in mechanical assembly, soldering, and wiring.
  • Ability to receive training and instructions from others.
  • Ability to interact and work with production associates, manufacturing engineering and quality control.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract


Pay:
$ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
