Office for Youth Ministry of the German Bishops' Conference (afj) in Düsseldorf, we are currently seeking a


Director (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:


  • You will lead the office and be responsible for personnel, budget, organization, and the conceptual development of youth ministry. You will also serve as the executive director of the Youth Commission and advise its chairman, coordinate and network youth ministry at the national level, and promote cooperation at the international level.
  • You will support the Secretariat of the German Bishops' Conference in matters of youth ministry and work together with other offices as well as the Commission of the German Bishops in Berlin.
  • You will lead the German delegation at World Youth Days and oversee the annual conference on youth ministry, as well as other projects, conferences, and meetings.
  • You will jointly lead the Youth House Düsseldorf e.
V.

as the national center for Catholic youth work in Germany, together with the Federal Board of the Catholic Youth Association (BDKJ).


Your profile:


  • In addition to a completed university degree in Catholic theology (preferably with a focus on practical theology) or a comparable qualification, you have proven knowledge in social sciences
