Duties:


  • You will serve as a Supervisor for the NAVWAR Budget Corporate Operations Branch (NAVWAR 121H0), assigned to the NAVWAR Finance Competency.
  • You will provide business and financial management support, program evaluation and management expertise to NAVWAR Headquarters.
  • You will initiate special studies as required to research and respond to various fiscal management challenges.
  • You will the support program managers regarding all Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPB and E) activities.
  • You will formulate budget supportive of and consistent with program planning submissions and submit complete and accurate budgets consistent with required deadlines.
  • You will perform supervisory performance management responsibilities and civilian performance management and ensure it's Is carried out in compliance with NAVWAR/APS policy and other governing principles.

  • This position requires a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travelrelated purchases.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS13 grade level or DP3 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Overseeing the approval of funding documents and spend plans in accordance with appropriation law and policies; assisting in the development and formulation of policies and procedures; AND supervising all efforts associated with developing, justifying, and monitoring the budget and execution of assigned appropriations.

Additional information:

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the pay band, including higher responsibility positions.

Based on the responsibilities of this position (Tier 2), the total adjusted salary may be capped equivalent to GS 14 Step 10 (currently $180,931) pay band, including higher responsibility positions.


This position is in the Personnel Demonstration Project under authority of Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978.

The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4.

This position is telework eligible as determined by the agency policy.

Certain incentives (such as recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
