THE POSITION:


The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institute at Dallas is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support at our facility.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

As a Clerical Assistant 2 you will provide clerical and office support to your assigned institution.

You will be responsible for filing, typing a variety of documents, and inputting data for various departments within the institution, operate office equipment and maintaining computer databases and records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday
  • Friday, with a 30minute lunch.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60/65.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title);
    or:
  • Graduation from high school;
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:


  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:


  • You must pass a background investigation.
