We provide counseling services to refugees in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg on psychosocial issues. As a mobile counseling center, we work closely with various accommodations in the district. We are looking for a committed social worker to join our team, ideally with good knowledge of Arabic, Farsi or Turkish. Social Worker (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • The person is at the center: You provide counseling to partially severely traumatized and mentally burdened refugees
  • You contribute: You shape, plan, document the counseling sessions and keep up to date with relevant developments regarding asylum seekers and refugees
  • You think in a networked way: You work closely with relatives, legal guardians, work and support areas, social services and other institutions in the interest of the residents
  • You are a team player: You work in a multi-professional, international team, regular exchange and good communication among each other are part of your daily routine

Your profile

  • You have the know-how: You have completed your training as a social assistant
  • Or: You have a comparable degree in the health and social sector and/or relevant experience
