Overview:

Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp offers a traditional camp experience in the heart of Manhattan at two locations - the Upper East Side and Battery Park City.

We focus on building confidence, character, and community.

In addition to our active program Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp offers a wonderful arts program.

The Dance Specialist will lead age-appropriate lessons for each of our camp groups ranging in ages 4 to 13 years old and introduce campers to different types of dance.

Responsibilities include:

Create weekly ageappropriate lesson plans for each age group
Lead weekly activities period for each camper group
Work with the Head of Arts (HoA) and Program Manager to order supplies needed for activities
Work with HoA on campus wide projects
Participate in campuswide special events and theme days
Help groups choreograph talent show routines
Communicate with group counselors, needs of the lesson and delegate responsibilities

NOTE:
Camp runs
from Thursday, June 27 to Friday, August 16 (no camp July 4 & 5).

Camp staff are required to be on the premises by 8:00 am and the day is over by 4:45 pm.

A full summer commitment is required.

All summer camp employees are required to attend orientation on the evenings of June 17th, 18th, and 20th, and Saturday, June 22nd, and Sunday, June 23rd.

This position will require lesson planning and activity preparation prior the start of camp.

Pay:
$2, $4,000.00 per month

Dance Instruction: 3 years (preferred)
