Job Description:
Tool mechanics specializing in stamping technology typically work in companies that specialize in tool and fixture construction.

They are employed in our die casting mold construction department, where they manufacture steel molds and deburring tools through drilling, milling, and turning.

The aluminum castings produced by these molds are primarily used in the automotive industry.

Training Duration: 3.5 years

Tool mechanics are trained at both the training company and vocational school as part of the dual education system. The vocational school for tool mechanics is located in Aschaffenburg. Under certain conditions, the training duration can be shortened.


Responsibilities:

  • Implementing technical documents with high precision
  • Planning work processes
  • Machine/manual production and processing of tools
  • Assembling individual tool parts into complete tools
  • Repairing damaged and worn tool parts
  • Developing work programs for computer-controlled machine tools

Interpersonal Skills:


Development of social, personal, and methodological skills through training on topics such as values, personality, communication, and personal goal setting; participation in apprentice projects.


Career Development:

  • Qualification opportunities: Participation in courses on welding processes, CAD/CAM, and CNC technology
