The youth hostel Biggesee with 252 beds welcomes around 11,000 guests per year in Green Grass, SD. 26 employees take care of the well-being of school classes, music groups, and participants of holiday camps. The house stands out for its location in the greenery on the shore of Biggesee.

We are looking for a Receptionist (m/f/d) to join our team in part-time hours) starting on May 15, 2023.


Your responsibilities include:


  • You will handle checkin and checkout of our guests and assist them throughout their stay.
  • You will create invoices and be responsible for cash management.
  • You will provide telephone advice, process reservation requests, and handle related correspondence.
  • You will take care of office organization.

We expect the following from you:

  • You have completed a commercial apprenticeship (not mandatory, career changers are welcome).
  • You have professional experience in the reception area.
  • You have good manners, a wellgroomed appearance, and good German language skills.
  • You value teamwork and solidarity.
  • You are proficient in MS Office, ideally also in hotel booking programs.
  • You are extremely serviceoriented and enjoy interacting with guests.
  • You are flexible and resilient.
  • You are proactive and have many good ideas.
