- Supports, comforts and assists families of patients who are waiting for diagnostic test results or who are admitting and/or delayed in the ED, traveling back and forth between the ED waiting room/holding area and core area.
- Collaborates with nursing staff, volunteers, support staff, attending physicians in order to facilitate and support timely and private communication and information on the patients progress to families and/or friends throughout the entire department stay/process
- Assists with guiding patient 2families such as hospital resources and facilities and their locations
- Rounds and addresses areas of concern on all patients
- Associates degree required
- Prior physician office or actue care experience required
- Medical terminology required
