The work of the Hertie Foundation focuses on two main themes: exploring the brain and strengthening democracy. The foundation's projects provide model impulses within these topics, always with a focus on improving people's lives.

The non-profit Hertie Foundation was founded by the heirs of department store owner Georg Karg and is now one of the largest ideologically independent and entrepreneurially unbound foundations in Germany.

For over 20 years, Jugend debattiert has been promoting language and democracy education in all types of secondary schools.

The curriculum and nationwide competition teach democracy skills and the ability to engage in constructive debates to approximately young people each year.

With over participating schools and 8,000 trained teachers, Jugend debattiert is one of the largest programs for political education in Germany.

To support our team, we are looking for a Digital Learning Officer (m/f/d) (location: Frankfurt/Main, full-time, initially limited to two years)

Your tasks:

Conceptualization and coordination of innovative digital offerings for teachers and the Jugend debattiert community, including live consultations, webinars, explanatory videos, and web-based trainings.

Development and implementation of a new learning and community platform in close collaboration with user groups and project participants (e.g. teachers, students, technical service providers); this includes project planning, moderation of conceptual workshops, commissioning of digital learning content, interface management, and coordination of external project management.
