The Federal Employment Agency operates around 300 job centers nationwide in cooperation with local authorities. The main tasks of the job centers are providing benefits and facilitating employment and training opportunities. The clients often face complex problems and our goal is to support their return to work and social participation. Are you looking for a job in a social environment with customer contact, diverse tasks, and complex situations?

Then apply as a specialist for benefit provision at the job center.

Your main focus will be applying the legal regulations of the Social Code Book II to individual case situations of clients.

The job center in Shavano Park, TX is currently divided into 4 teams, each with 10-13 employees.

The onboarding process will be closely guided by a dedicated team.

  • Your tasks and responsibilities
You can actively contribute to maintaining social peace and help secure livelihoods in difficult situations.
You will make decisions regarding all benefits requested in connection with basic security (e.g. new applications, rent, relocation assistance, loans, etc.) and their disbursement.

You will determine the appropriate needs of eligible individuals, which includes reviewing eligibility requirements, requesting documents, making final decisions on needs, entering data into the necessary program, and issuing notifications.

You will provide advice (via phone and in person) on financial benefits under the Social Code Book II and other priority claims such as child benefits, alimony, pensions, etc.

You will handle existing cases (e.g. considering changes in income due to employment)
