The Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik (FBH) is an applied research institution in the fields of high-frequency electronics, photonics, and quantum physics.

The FBH conducts research on electronic and optical components, modules, and systems based on compound semiconductors. These are key building blocks for innovations in the societal areas of communication, energy, health, and mobility. The institute covers the entire value chain from design to ready-to-deliver systems.


In the Process Technology department, we are currently looking for two microtechnologists / technical assistants (m/f/d) - semiconductor chip technology, to start as soon as possible.

Your tasks

  • You will perform process steps on automated and manual equipment, with a focus on lithography and wet chemistry, or wafer thinning and chip singulation. You will monitor the processes, control and document the results and equipment parameters.
  • To evaluate the work results, you will use optical and tactile methods.
  • You will identify and document qualityrelevant deviations and participate in the team in developing solutions.
  • You will contribute to the stabilization and optimization of processing processes.
  • In collaboration with colleagues, you will take technical responsibility for individual equipment and contribute to high equipment availability.
  • You will participate in the qualification and further development of manufacturing technologies.
