Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler Coordinator to join our Quality Department on a contract basis in Longview, Texas.
The primary responsibilities include moving parts using a forklift and scanning documents to support quality assurance processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that our materials handling and documentation are executed with precision and efficiency.Key Job Responsibilities Forklift Operation:
Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload parts and materials within the facility. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to designated locations. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the forklift.
Document Handling:
Scan and upload documents into the quality management system. Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets quality standards. Assist with organizing and filing quality control documents as required.
Quality Support:
Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure compliance with all quality procedures and standards. Report any discrepancies or issues with materials or documentation to the quality team.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions. Identify and report potential safety hazards. Qualifications/Requirements Valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience operating a forklift. Previous experience in a materials handling or warehouse role preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in using scanning equipment and basic computer applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills.
