Your team

You will be a part of the Prices and Costs Division in the Directorate General Economics. Our division monitors, analyzes, and assesses inflationary pressures in the euro area. We provide input for internal decisionmaking processes and external communications regarding the inflation outlook and potential risks. This includes analyzing cyclical and structural factors, the external and domestic environment, wage and profit developments, and projected expectations. We work closely with briefing and forecast coordination units, as well as colleagues in other divisions, to analyze and forecast different aspects of the euro area economy. Currently, we are focused on decomposing supply and demanddriven inflation, measuring wage and energysensitive prices, interpreting underlying inflation dynamics, and estimating wage and price Phillips curves.

As a Senior Economist, you will be part of a team of approximately 20 experts in forecasting, modeling, and assessing inflationary pressures.
