    VGS Infrastructure Services, Inc. is currently initiating a search for a full-time Contract Support Specialist of Infrastructure Asset Maintenance serving in a critical administrative role in the project management team supporting the Miami project. The Contract Support Specialist, reporting to the Project Manager, is responsible for implementing controls and providing resourcing for the project's adherence to the performance-based contract with an MRP component on behalf of VGS for Maintenance Services. The position is in Miami Lakes, Florida, with limits of responsibility in Miami-Dade County.

    Job Description:

    The Contract Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the following:

    • Submittal of daily reports / logs
    • Alignment and compliance with VGS / FDOT policies and procedures
    • Ongoing compliance with the approved VGS and applicable Federal and State programs
    • Management of insurance recovery claims (3rd party)
    • Perform quarterly field Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) inspections, by random sampling, and compile results for Operations Manager / Project Manager review and action in cooperation with the Quality Control Team
    • Identification, development, review, and enforcement of DBE requirements
    • Supervises and coordinates the selection process of subcontractors and other professional consultants in accordance with VGS policies and procedures and FDOT contract requirements
    • Must be proficient in data entry in data management programs
    • Must be capable of learning and maintaining an internet web-based application for maintenance activity records and management
    • Perform status reporting and record archiving in accordance with the contract requirements, maintain document controls, and provide quality control in LBS' administrative functions
    • Responsible for adopting supplemental agreements into the primary contract and executing all additional contractual requirements
    • Responsible for tracking of subcontractor records and reporting data to ensure contract compliance
    • Responsible for compiling of data/reports from subcontractors for the monthly invoice to the client
    • Reviews project's scope, schedules, and budgets as part of business operations to develop appropriate resourcing and cost values
    • Prepares preliminary and final recommendations, as well as negotiated terms and conditions, to the Project Manager for approval
    • Participates in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedural manuals
    • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to LBS's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
    • Other such activities as may be required by the Project Manager / LBS to maintain compliance with project requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in infrastructure asset maintenance, project management and administration.
    • High School Diploma
    • Proficient in basic mathematics
    • Familiar with infrastructure maintenance management terms and is proficient in data entry
    • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by LBS's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
    • Strong organizational and management skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and communication techniques
    • Experience in contract administration
    • Demonstrated ability in: Preparing and/or reviewing payment applications
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
    • Self-motivated and eager to learn
    • Demonstrate ability to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct
    • Proven ability to adhere to LBS's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
    • This hire will be contingent upon successful background check

    • This role is subject to a client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of the client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request
    • This role is also contingent upon a successful Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of FDOT MRP requirements
    • Knowledge of FDOT Standard Plans
    • Bilingual in Spanish
