Snelling, CA is currently being managed by the state forestry agency "Wald und Holz Nordrhein-Westfalen" as a unified forest administration with 15 regional forest offices responsible for approximately 300,000 hectares of private and municipal forest land.

In addition, the agency also manages around 120,000 hectares of state-owned forest land, including the Eifel National Park.

The Siegen-Wittgenstein regional forest office is located in the southeastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia, in the most forested district in Germany.

With approximately 80,000 hectares of mostly uninterrupted forest, it provides a habitat for countless species, as well as a place for people to relax and enjoy nature.

Most importantly, it is a valuable economic asset for thousands of forest owners.
