Overview

Responsibilities

  • Greet and checkin guests with a pleasant smile and superior service adhering to The William Vale hospitality standards.
  • Provide service, information, amenities, and instructions for pool usage.
  • Process payments for cabana/day bed rental, sauna/hot tub and retail items and pool day passes.
  • Ensure guests are aware of all services and activities available at the pool.
  • Assist with guest seating & towel distribution.
  • Make reservations for all pool bookings and sauna/hot tub bookings.
  • Assist guests with all requests.
  • Responsible for courteous and efficient responses at all times.
  • Ensure a pleasant stay at the pool area.
  • Ensure all guests are registered prior to using the pool and are aware of the rules and regulations of the facility.
  • Responsible for maintaining a secure environment by immediately reporting any accident or injuries to the department heads.
  • Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

  • Proactive approach to problem resolution, including: anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as needed. Contribute to short term and long term problem solving.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management processes.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions/situations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of Guest Service/Host experience required.
  • Hotel experience a plus.
  • Ability to carry, pull and push lounge chairs as well as other pool deck equipment such as towel bins, weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Able to withstand prolonged walking, standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
  • Able to work outdoors in seasonal heat (100F+) or cold as well as inclement weather.
  • Capacity to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
