Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance worker to inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required.
To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools and be able to read repair manuals.
Role and Responsibilities
- General cleaning of the building and keeping it in maintained and in good condition;
- Make minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs;
- Checking, repairing and servicing all aspects of the Residential facility;
- Sweep, mop, wax floors, hallways, stairwells, offices, bathroom and program areas;
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment;
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms and breakrooms;
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance;
- Clean spills;
- Collect and dispose of trash;
- Maintaining adequate supply of cleaning products by informing supervisor of inventory level;
- Shovel snow from stairs and sidewalks;
- Mow and maintain grass and garden;
- Move furniture and other items to and from locations
- Load, pack and unload items with care.
- Ensure that no items are damaged while moving.
- Place items in the requested positions at the new location.
- Punch in and out of the timekeeping system in real time;
- Maintain a daily activity log;
- Attend weekly meetings.

Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma
- 35 year maintenance experience
- Proven maintenance experience
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually
- Strong time management skills

From $17.00 per hour
