Human Resources Generalist I
Pay:
$32 - $35/hr
Summary of Position
The Human Resources Generalist I will provide support to the Human Resources team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Employee onboarding:, Assist with conducting onboarding, follow up on missing trainings/tests on new hires, enter new hires in Vista.
- Benefit administration: Support with benefit enrollment and invoice reconciliation
- Track/Update employee files: Tracking & supervisor notification of performance reviews, entering training certificates/credentials, and updating employee records in Vista. Follow corporate processes for digital filing.
- Document management: Complete separation forms, transfer letters, FMLA notices, statespecific compliance forms, rate increases, and separation notices.
- Employee engagement: Assist in daytoday employee support, team activities, and training.
- Policy administrative support: Organize, draft, edit, publish policies, form & document control.
- Compliance support: MVR audit, I9 audit, Driver's license audit, maintain poster compliance for all locations,
- Employment verifications: Nonincome verifications for employees, unemployment claims
- Other tasks and document completion as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Elevated human resources knowledge and skills or related fields of business. And/ or leadership/ management roles.
- Minimum oneyear office administrative support
- Knowledge of Union processes (a plus but not required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Be able to multitask with many interruptions throughout the day
- Excellent organizational skills and selfmotivation to complete routine tasks.
- Must be detailoriented and customerfocused.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Moderate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Databases.
- Extremely strong organizational, followthrough, and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member, as well as independently, while adhering to strict deadlines.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Moderate noise typical of an office setting, such as peer conversations, computers, printers, and phones.
Typical indoor office setting with cubicles, offices, and conference rooms.
