Job Description:


  • Management of the department "Operations" with responsibilities in the areas of principles, logistics, equipment, information, and communication
  • Technical advice to the statelevel disaster management staff in North Rhine-Westphalia
  • Coordination of cooperation with the authorities and organizations responsible for civil protection at the state level
  • Further development of THW units and participation in strategic committees
  • Analysis of critical infrastructure scenarios and development of possible response options

Requirements:


  • Successfully completed university degree (diploma or master's) in fields such as economics, public administration, engineering, or social sciences
  • Proven experience in managing a department with personnel responsibility
  • Good knowledge of civil protection and disaster management in Germany and the EU, as well as a willingness to work closely and cooperatively with other, especially voluntary, THW units and other emergency response authorities
  • Several years of experience in at least one of the following areas: basic operations, logistics, equipment, information and communication
