Job Summary


Perform a wide variety of manual tasks in kitchen or dining area of a food activity, which involves light to moderate physical effort and is done according to established procedures.

Serves as a lead and provides guidance to lower-level employees. Performs duties as Supervisor in his/her absence.

Primary Duties

These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.- Set up food on self-serving lines and portion food for individual servings in accordance with instructions.- Refill cold bars, salad bars, pastry cabinets, condiments, juice dispensers, and set up dining rooms.- Replace glassware, dishes and silverware and refill condiment containers.

Wipe and wash tables and countertops.- Clean work area, utensils, and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors, walls, windows, and tables.- Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from serving counters.

Mix washing solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and/or wash dishes, glassware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils by hand.


Additional Responsibilities- Maintain in a sanitary condition equipment and work areas, utensils, and tables.- Perform ware-washing, and keep pot and pan areas in order prior to, during and after meals.- Follow correct cleaning techniques, cleaning schedules and tasks.- May assign duties to lower-level employees in the absence of a supervisor.- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Certification(s)- Must be able to pass and maintain a Tier 5 FBI Security Clearance required.- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.- One-year food service-related experience preferred.- Must obtain Serve-Save certification within 90 days of hire date required.- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong customer service skills required.- Neat, well-groomed appearance required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee may occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
