Job Summary:


This position operates one or more photocopying or duplicating office machines to make copies of documents such as letters, reports, directives, manuals, articles and bulletins.

To process copy requests submitted by FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) staff utilizing publishing and printing equipment/duplicating machines; operate binding equipment/machines; perform clerical duties associated with the requests for printing and photographic services; monitor status of Duplication Center equipment; maintain inventory of supplies and performing duties to support the copy center help desk.

Primary Duties

These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.- Process and duplicate as required FERC copy requirements such as Commission Issuances, EIS, EA and confidential, color documents and vacancy announcements in accordance with suspense date.- Set up and operate publication and printing equipment such as high-speed copier machines (including color equipment) paper cuffing, binding, hole punch, stitching, labeling, tabbing and folding machines.- Log commission issuances out of the work flow in Remedy and send completed copies to the mail center for mailing.

Enter other completed jobs into the production log.- Assist with Copy Center Helpdesk by answering phones, processing ticket requests into the Remedy ticketing system, processing walk up requests as needed.- Perform clerical duties associated with the request for printing and copying services.


Additional Responsibilities- Operate small binding machines.- Maintain an inventory of supplies and reproduction equipment and paying attention to important variables indicated by trade name of machine.- Prepare assembly sheets, print requisitions with specifications for printing and binding, recording, delivering and collecting work.- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and Certification(s)- High School Diploma, General Educational Development (GED) required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of the operating and maintenance procedures and functional characteristics of Copy Center machinery, including copiers.- Ability to interpret from technical written/verbal instructions and to understand the scope of the work required.- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.- Basic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office software.

Basic typing skills.
