- As a project engineer, manage cross-functional teams to complete key plant projects to meet cost-savings goals and support business continuity.
- Perform project planning, justification, specification development, and budgeting.
- Write and submit capital budget requests.
- Manage projects across all departments within the plant which shall include product design changes, business continuity (sustainability), process development, process changes and machine design/implementation.
- Identify and implement significant continuous improvement projects. Generate and submit new project ideas.
- Handle vendor interactions, equipment specifications/design, concepts, and vendor negotiations.
- Oversee machine purchase and installations, as well as the building of complete machines or processes.
- Provide leadership in creativity around solving problems.
- Identify solutions to problems encountered without assistance and develops and secures resource planning.
- Develop and implement new technologies.
- Write and execute test method and process validations.
- Write and execute measurement system analyses.
- Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
