Shear Structural Job Opportunity

Shear Structural is seeking a Structural Engineering Project Engineer / Project Manager to join their team in Chamblee, Georgia. If you are a high-energy, self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, this might be the perfect fit for you. You'll work with a variety of clients across the United States, offering technical expertise, proactive solutions, and top-notch customer service.

Clients: architects, developers, institutions, municipalities, engineers, and contractors.

Project types: adaptive reuse, education, healthcare, municipal, commercial, and more.

Candidate Requirements

PE or SE certification, preferred
5-10 years of professional experience
Master's in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering, preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Creative, collaborative, and client-focused
Familiarity with current construction practices and building codes

Responsibilities

Conduct structural computations for concrete, steel, masonry, and wood
Create and interpret analysis models for structural frames
Manage construction tasks, including site visits and drawing reviews
Oversee drawing production, cost estimates, specifications, and project deliverables
Prepare technical reports and studies
Conduct field observations during design and construction phases

Skills

Deep technical knowledge of structural engineering principles
Experience with Revit, RAM, AutoCAD, Enercalc, Bluebeam, etc.
