What to expect

As an electrician / electrician as a shaft craftsman at K+S Minerals and Agriculture GmbH in Zielitz, you are the link between the above-ground and underground areas. You operate the two shaft conveyor systems for the transport of raw salt or people and materials and are also responsible for their maintenance. Your tasks include:

  • Daily maintenance of the conveyor machines according to maintenance schedule and inspections of the shaft conveyor systems according to BVOS
  • Minor repairs to the shaft conveying equipment as well as assembly and scheduled component changes (e.g. cable changes)
  • Loading and unloading activities using forklifts for shaft transports (operating materials and supplies, spare parts, explosives, plant parts/machines) via pallets or as heavy-duty transport
  • Checking the roof and wall stability, cleaning and stripping activities, as well as independent operation of the shaft conveyor systems
  • Development opportunities for skilled personnel, conveyor machine operators, foremen or supervisors
What you bring
  • Successfully completed vocational training as an electrician or equivalent skilled worker qualification
  • Driver's license for cars
  • Willingness to work in a fully continuous shift system underground as well as on weekends and holidays
  • Resilience, reliability, flexibility and teamwork skills
