Position Overview:


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Manage the daytoday life cycle of electronic resources, including licensing, activation, discovery, access, and maintenance.
  • Manage, review, and negotiate licenses to reach favorable pricing and licensing terms.
  • Activate new acquisitions in the knowledgebase.
  • Maintain linking to electronic resources.
  • Ensure the accuracy of holdings, licensing, and vendor information.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot electronic resources access issues, and provide expert support to ensure ongoing usability and accessibility.
  • Actively collaborate with the Chief Academic Officer on current and future electronic resources collection strategies.
  • Develop, document, recommend, and implement new approaches and workflows to the management of eresources in order to facilitate the seamless delivery of information to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Collect, analyze, and report the usage data of electronic resources to help guide collection development and acquisitions decisions.
  • Collaborate with consortial partners on statewide and shared collections and effectively manage them and make them available to users.
  • Assist in renewing online journal packages, databases, ebook collections, and streaming media.
  • Train students and academic staff to assist with eresources management.
  • Serve as a library faculty liaison to one academic department.
  • Serve on library, university, regional, state, and/or professional organization committees.
  • Establish and sustain a program of high quality research and/or creative accomplishments appropriate to electronic resources and collection management.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated knowledge of key trends in library science, including the ability to evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting, leading, and managing library staff, including instituting professional development opportunities.
  • Superb written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering diversity and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of special collections and university archives.

$ $39.43 per hour
