The Project

As part of the joint project WindGISKI, an AI-based Geographical Information System is being developed for the identification of potential areas for wind energy plants (WEA).

The aim of the project is to simplify and accelerate the identification of potential areas for onshore wind energy. This is expected to improve the number and quality of potential areas designated in the future.

Due to numerous lawsuits, the expansion of wind power is sometimes delayed by several years.

In order to learn more about the reasons for these lawsuits, the project collects, evaluates, and prepares legal proceedings from all over Germany for use in AI.

Your Tasks

A large project awaits you. In the first step, legal proceedings will be recorded and evaluated using text mining or manual methods. This will be followed by preparing the legal proceedings for the use of data mining methods. For data mining, you will use the programming language Python and its libraries NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Matplotlib.

You can either support me as a research assistant or write your Bachelor's or study thesis in a specific area.
